Hey everyone,
I have done a few instals with the amplifier systems but i have been noticing that the neweer amps are now allowing you to use a high input for the speakers. Anybody have it setup with the highs? How does it sound? Any difference from the lows? I want to instal my second amp and am debating wether or not i should go high input? Any thoughts feedback would be greatly appreciated
thanks

I tried once. Got too much static interference so I went back to low.

did you run the ins and the outs (to and from the amp) next to each other? I can see that causing interference to happen. or did you run the ins one way and the outs another?

i'm not sure what you mean by ins and outs? I had my wires from the deck run down the center of my car.

by ins and ounts i mean the wires going from the deck to the amp (ins) from the amp to the speaker wires behind the deck (outs) You state that you ran them down the center of the car so i asume that was both. Its the same issue when you put the power wire and the rcas next to each other.

The chances of a high leval input picking up any noise from a dc power system is very hard, do to the fact that high leval (speaker wire) is an ac signal , and the only real way to pick up or have noise is by having two dc signals close together. I have done alot of installs with a high leval on the amp and they work great. some will actually work better then a LOC.

One of my previous JL amps allowed for both high and low inputs. At first I used the high inputs as at the time it was convenient. Everything sounded fine and as expected with no interference of any kind.

I ended up re-doing some of that install and decided to use low level inputs instead and noticed no difference in audio quality, though it was much easier to run a set of RCA's throughout the car than it was all of the speaker wiring.

I appreciate all of the feedback and have decided to stick with the low level inputs. Now just cannot wait to put it all together
