not personally

but from what i heard and see, its cheap lapping.

if you get into an accident good luck. No on-site EMS/fire.

better to stick with reputable clubs with actual pros who compete solo-1/2

Just when I was thinking of saving a few bucks and going with a M2005 helmet...I don't mind going by their rules, but they seem a little elitist...$150 for a nice bike helmet vs. $400+ for a decent SA2005...I'm not being cheap, for once, but just the utility of it...ok fine, I'm being cheap...lol...:blush

I contacted Touge/Kevin and they can have someone show me around the track...and I'm not much of a morning person...

Keep the suggestions coming...I'm all about options...:bana2

The difference as I see it is who runs the event.

Lapping is not cheap. Period. There's a reason for it not to be cheap too.

I remember hearing an incident at a pacific mall run lapping day at shannonville a 16 year old walled his car on 2nd lap, caused an hour delay to get the car out, ambulance blah blah blah. His seat belt was slack and shoved his arm into the dash.

Last time I went to shannonville, a s2000 in front of me made a wrong turn into pylons, swerved back and spun out into mud and hydrolocked. I had to swerve to avoid his amateurish $10,000 mistake.

If you want to take it seriously, then track school is the best money spent. I'm still saving my pennies for it.

the hondaprelude event sounds interesting ATM...$260 for Ian Law isn't bad, and with that under my belt, I think I can move up more easily...
