Three BlackBerry 9000's appeared on eBay despite the fact they have not official been announced by RIM so this guy purchased one of them and gives us a preview.

Note - The phone is working on the Rogers 3G network!

@ $135ish a share, as a dirt-poor IT guy, I'd love to get in on RIM, but cannot afford any significant holdings. I've been watching it since it was $80ish :(

The keypad looks like the ones they use for the moto Q9h... really cheap feeling if its the same kind.

I've got a Pearl, and I love it. I'm a gadget junkie, though, so I'm sure I'll consider buying this when it comes out... and then realize I can't afford it...

It's not in the sales guide for Q2, so don't expect it until at least Q3.

Just bought a Red Curve a few weeks back... LOVE it. The missus has a Pearl... both are nice devices, but I prefer the full QWERTY keyboard. Wifey says that predictive text on the Pearl can sometimes be inaccurate.

Either way, the 9000 is a nice device, not too crazy about the iconography though. It's tough on the eyes.

It's true... but there really aren't THAT many words that fall on the exact same keys. It can be annoying, but you get used to it, and just have to watch out on those specific words...

I print every letter, I think predictive text is to complicated on any cellys. Also I tried calling 1800HRBLOCK, I simply couldnt dial, it would not allow me wtf!
