This service department continues to go above and beyond the call of duty. About a month ago I blew my motor. See story here:

I took the car up to the good people at Dave Wood Mazda and Cecily again took care of me and my concerns. Engine replaced under warranty, work done was fast and done right. I've never been happier to drive my car 40 minutes away from my home (live downtown Toronto) to Newmarket to get work done on my car. The people there are just amazing and are real Mazda enthusiasts. I've had some horrible experiences at another Mazda dealership were I bought my car (Gyro Mazda). Dave Wood has always been amazing to me even though I did not purchase my car from them. If I do decide to buy another Mazda it will definitly be from them, and I've already sent two other Mazda drivers up there and will continue to recommend them. Thanks again to all the service people at DWM as they have always been top notch, and make owning a Mazda 3 hassle free.

are you lowered on anything? Its my first time bringing it in lowered and I know some dealerships refuse service because of the drop.

I am not, but I know for a fact they have services lowered cars there. I've seen and met a couple of TM3 members with lowered rides up there.

Possible because their hoist arms cannot fit under the lowered vehicle without scratching (and thus too lazy to manually jack up the car in order to fit the hoist arms under).

Glad to hear all is well, Peter!

They are lowered friendly.

Junior brings his kitted and lowered P5 there with no complaints.

have you tried another dealer like you said you were going to?

If so, did the new dealer acknowledge the ping?

Yeah, Dave Wood is awesome. Eric and Cecily are really pleasant to deal with, and the service is great.

I actually had an issue with their service at one point (one of their machines broke down while my car was going through certifications/emissions, and I waited there for 4.5 hours... Wow, did that suck). On a survey afterwards, I gave them a 3/10 for service, and the next day, their service manager called me at home, and apologized to me for almost half an hour for how long it took. It was fantastic customer service on their part, and they've been perfect ever since.

Also, there's a nice path and stream beside the dealership, so it's nice to bring your ipod and go for a stroll while your car's being serviced.
