My new 2008 M3 GS has a lot of issues I have seen in these posts but really 2stand out. I have a major creaking sound coming from the cowl area at the base of the windsheild which gets worse as the temperature drops. The second problem is the noise from the exhaust system behind the dashboard. Under normal exceleration there is an anouying whoosh noise which sounds awful. The dearlership Mazda of Brampton refuses to do anything about it since to them it is a normal sound. Anyone else experience these issues?

Creaking when just driving, no matter steering wheel turning or not?

Popped your hood to check if anything is rubbing against the cowl? Or stuck in it?

Try taking it to a different dealership for service to check out. Just call ahead and make an appointment.

I've never heard of the windshield creaking/rattle/tick from a regular 3, but it's a very common issue on the MS3 (I certainly have it on mine). Here's a very long thread on M3F discussing the matter - maybe you can find something related out of it?

The creaking can happen on smooth or rough roads with the wheels pointed straight. Its true that it was worse when the weather was colder but it still happening now. Its funny that Mazda cars are really effected by temperature.
