Heeeelp!! My ipod adapter isnt working..

I drive 2008.5 mazda3 gt, And i just bough OEM mazda ipod adapter and switching box. Now I followed the diagram and connected it, before actually installing to see if it works. Now the AUX in the back of a stereo is taken so I had to use switching bob..Anyways the Ipod powers on..But how do you play it??? I tried everything from pressing SAT, CD, MEDIA buttons for 5 sec, and doubble press. I even tried steering wheel mounted controls, still not playing.. Help me please!

when you push the media button your volume is different than the radio. its probably just turned off.

How do you turn it on? im starting to think Mazda dealer sold me the wrong part.. On the website when you built a car, under options it would say "ipod adapter2 and requires Ipod adapter2 harness kit", if not, I pressed on media and AUX shows on the screen, but nothing is playing even my ipod is paused but charging..with mazda logo on it

the Oem Ipod controller is used under the cd function, just press cd twice and it should work. you wont have text display. it will look as if your playing a cd, but you will have sound. and will be working off the ipod.

not working..just says "no cd" it worked om my 04..but this time its a little trickier. ughh going to the dealer first thing tommorow morning

just got a Ipod adapter2 and harness kit2..connected it all before hiding all the wires..not working...im going to double check tommorow, couldnt really understnd the (-) and (+) on information display plug, totally different then mine.. Dont really think it has anything to do with playing Ipod though. Apparantly you should be able to see the songs you playing with new adapter for 08.5gt

Yeah the 08.5 iPod adapters have this new capability. Song title will be displayed.

Maybe there's a loose connection?

not to sure, but i just unpluged it all and will try again. I never had so many problems with this. Anyone has experiance in this?? Where do you plug in + and - to Information Display CAN_L(Gray) and CAN_H(Violet) I assume colors represent the wires, but they are not there... The diagram is for Mazda5, so its a little different. And I called the dealer and I have the right parts.

Also how would these wires affect my ipod, like its charging but wouldnt play, and the MEDIA button stopped working.

Finally got it fixed and all working, hided all the wires and wired to the glovebox..Now it doesnt show the titles of a songs, but it does show few extra things that makes easier to navigate. In overall instructions are useless and translated into english a little incorectly. Anyways Im happy that Im finaly done. :bana
