Not a fan (at least in this particular case). I don't think it looks right for a number of reasons......paint isn't glossy, looks strange on a bone stock car, doesn't go with silver too well, etc.

it's nice to get a 2 tone. Only thing is you need to unify the look throughout your car. Just the top looks out of place. You need to do something about the hood maybe but it's a start.

Hey, you asked for opinions. The reasons some A3's have an all black roof is because Audi offers a huge glass roof called the open sky system. Nearly the entire roof is glass, it's not painted flat black.

In the end, if you like the mod then that's all that matters.....we all have different tastes. Do what makes you happy.

I think it looks ok. I thought it would look better but that could be because of the picture. I too hoped that the black portion would have the same "shine" as the rest of the body but as we constantly say on this forum, the only person that needs to be happy is you.

I think the idea is right, but as its been said you really haven't tied it in with anything. Maybe if you were to do the vinyl on the grill and/or hood as well it would tie in better. Right idea, right look, but just not "complete".

from what I can see of it I think you need to add more to it aswell. The hood and roof together would look much better. Just the roof done looks out of place.

But again this is just my opion and its yours that matters.

I agree. You can't come here and ask people for their honest opinion, and then get defensive when they say they don't like it. That being said, the only person that DOES have to like it is you, so you shouldn't take anything that anyone says personally. Everyone has their own styles or tastes, and if you like it, then awesome. That's all that matters.
As for my opinion, I've never been a fan of 2 tone cars, unless they're hot rods or something like that. I just have never really particularly liked them. But, I agree with everyone when they say that it looks half-done. It will look better with more done to tie it all together...

Trunk might be a bit overkill.. gotta have contrast, so Thats why I got the m3 spoiler and leaving it black... Who knows again to answer questions it is vinyl/paint LOL
