I have Prolumen H11 HID bulbs for fog lights and it seems the bulbs are too long for the housing and has caused the silver cap to come undone. I'd like to keep the caps on for looks.

Does anyone know how to screw the cap back on?

Does anyone want to volunteer to bake my fog lights open so I can fix both caps?

My other fog light cap is still attached because it got bent at an angle, but the length of the bulb has caused a poor seal leading to constant condensation.

The dealership tried to replace the housings but the ran into the same problem when reinstalling - the bulbs are too long.

Any ideas?

you'll have to remove the lens from the housing. hopefully it's an adhesive and you can bake it. if it's welded, that's a whole other story.

the shield is there for a reason. if you remove if, your beam is gonna be fubar

good luck getting those open. the guy that did my projector fog retro wasn't able to open them up. if he tried any harder the lense woulda cracked. might be able to try and rivet the shield back on if it didn't snap in half.
