hey guys, I was wondering what would be involved when installing this mirror:

seems like a great deal for that price! i have the rain sensing wipers, is it going to be a problem?
thanks

Do a search, you'll find some info on this install. Needs to tap in to ground plus switched power, which can be found in the drivers kick, not overly difficult to run the wires.
For the unit you have linked, it looks like the compass module is built into the mirror mount. You would need to ensure that the slot on the mirror mount fits the Mazda attachment point, and that it doesn't smack into the rain sensor before it is slid all the way on to the anchor point. You would also have to deal with your rain sensor having no cover, as you would need to remove the existing cover.
Some mirrors have external compass modules, and some people have piggy-backed it on to the rainsensor module with double sided tape. Others have bought auto-dim mirrors that have the compass module built into the mirror, which eliminates the external box entirely.

Given the base is rather large from the picture, this might not work with the Rain sensor on your windshield. The OEM one comes with a new cover that basically hides the unit but honestly, you don't really see the wires without the cover.
