I'm looking to get some rims, I'm really confused about what offset really is.
I've been looking at IKON and they dont' really specify their width, offset ranges from 42 - 48 with different prices though.

Stock 3 offset is 52.5 so if the wheels are +40 offset you will need hub rings.

you mean spacers right? not confuse them with hubcentric rings
EDIT: spacers would have opposite the desired effect in this case.

I'm lowered on H-techs so from what I've read I should be fine with 17 x 7 or 17 x 7.5 with offsets +42 to +48 and be fine.
The thing is what offset looks best?

the lower the offset the more the rim sticks out.
Offset is the first thing mentioned in the Sticky that is right above this thread...

if you post the size wheels you are looking for, or even better yet the exact ones, someone will be able to help you out.

I have a set of 18x8 wheels with a +45 offset and I'm also lowered on H.Techs, granted my tires are rubber bands but I've had no issues. Also I'll be swapping the tires for a 225/40ZR18 as soon as I get the chance and it still won't rub.

Go with the second ones, clean and simple.

im running on 235/40/18's with an offset of 45 (stock suspension) and when I have 3 or more ppl in the car I rub like crazy if I go over bumps on the highway. I can see the tire damage on the rear wheels. Im probably going to have to drop the tire size.

235/40s are pretty fat man, 225/40 maintains the same outer diameter as stock. Are your fenders rolled?
Also, are you a big Jordan fan? I saw the Xs in your avatar.

LOL, I'm mainly deciding between the first two. The second comes in silver and hyper silver.

Hmm, I just looked at it. I think it's similar but not quite the same.
I think I'm going to go with the first pic I posted.
