View Full Version : Do you think the COBB SRI is too noisy?

Hi,

Thinking of getting the COBB SRI, but after watching some of the videos on youtube, it seems to really amplify the blow-off noise. I love to hear the noise when/if I drive the car hard, but don't want to hear anything during normal daily driving (i.e. shifting at 2,500rpm).

You guys who have this, do you hear the noises during low-rpm regular driving?

No. With the cobb SRI, you kind of have to be pulling to here it. If you shift at 2500- 3000, you might faintly hear it with no music on.

thanks for the video...otherwise, I would've thought I broke something...lol...that sound is crazy...I kept my windows down for the whole drive after the install...punks kids on their bikes at night were wondering what I got under the hood...SICK!!! :hawt :chuckle

ohh I want to hear it! when I drive around my hood, the kids in bicycles already screams 'NICE RIDDEEEE' from my stock exhaust :chuckle

Actually, I think that the video was with a stock BOV valve. :(

I agree w/ UOU that you should at least hear it in real life before deciding against it...cuz unless you go CAI (which I have no personal experience of) where the intake pipe is longer and the intake filter lower down the engine bay, you'll get the sound...and more importantly, the gains to be had bang-for-buck is amazing...

But from my personal experience, the car now sounds like it's got a BOV...a mild one tho...but that's just me...

Intakes are not loud than you actually think it is.
Once you get used to it, you won't even know it's there until you pay attention to it.
Especially on passenger's side, they will hardly hear it.
It is the after market BOV that will make the most of the sound.

I really don't like Forge BPV sound but it is doing its job for now. I can't wait till Cobb comes out with theirs, with the sound how a BPV should sound.

^^^do u have the sound clip or vid about the COBB's BPV? i am kind of tired about the Turbo's BPV as well.

Sorry man, I'm just going by their descriptions. Cobb didn't release anything on their BPV yet.
