I'm so F**king pissed right now cause my 1 week old rim just got f**ked up (wait for the story)...So there I was taking a nice Sunday drive north on the 404 (headed to Elgin Mills) when this freaking pickup with trailer full of firewood was driving somewhat slowly ahead of me. I started to change lane to overtake this guy and then his damn trailer "jumped" sending a log straight at me flipping and bouncing on the highway over into my lane so despite my braking and trying to change lanes again, now my front right fog light, bumper and BRAND NEW RIM...is all smashed and busted up :bang
Luckily my sister was driving ahead of me and I called her and she managed to get the guy's insurance info yaddi yaddi yahh as it seems his trailer tire lost tread or some sh!t...but I know they won't repair/replace my rims as it was not stock. So anyone knows a good shop that can repair a cracked/dented/twisted racing rim and if so how much would it cost my a$$...I'll try to get pics up soon. I heard there is a good tire/rim repair shop in Brampton that sometimes frequent this forum, dunno the name tho...
Can you imagine I just got my rims installed on June 27th, 2008...I'm so pissed right now :flaming

Why won't they cover your aftermarket rim?
Rim might not be repairable but try Carcones. Wild Weasel will probably say the same as both of us seem to chime the same thing in. :chuckle

Kurt.... your insurance company will 100% cover that wheel. There is no way they can deny paying for it, it was on the car at the time of the incident and you have a reciept for it.
If this doesnt' work out, call me and I will take care of you.

Good looking out Allen, I got a hold of my insurance company and had an estimate done and the place that will do the repairs will be contacting you directly as they assured me they will put it in as part of the claim...100% covered, thank God for Comprehensive coverage :) But I'm still pissed off...at least I get a new bumper and paint job outta it cause there were some chip spots on the bumper :)

I checked it out with the collision centre and they said the insurance will definitely cover a replacement rim w/ tire as its possible the tire was also damaged...Waiting to hear back from my insurance as they will submit the claim against the other driver's policy...
