i dont know how much carputers are does anyone here have them and are they worth it? do u guys know who sells them and install? thanx

check out mp3car.com, very useful carputer site. I'm not aware of any Vendors that sell them locally. As for install, once you purchased one, I'm sure most of our audio sponsors(Audio Heaven, Selective Sound), could install.

i already have the dvd screen on my dash will it hook up to a carputer or do i have to buy the whole unit?

it depends if your screen has additional video inputs.

yeah i think it does have the video input. is it the input if u want to put a tv hook up in ur unit?

Ok conecting the screen to a carputer is possible and you have a couple of options here ...
If your screen has a vga or dvi conection then is a streight hook up to the carputer (provided is has a dvi output). If your screen has a RCA input (the red yellow and white plugs) then you would either need a video card in your computer that supports video in, a tv tuner card with video in or a vga to rca converter.

that ive got to look into wat connections are at the back. do u have to buy the video card and tv tuner card together or either or?
