Hey, I am opening a cafe soon and need to find some kids to work it. When I say kids, I mean teens/adults, but since they're younger than an old fart like me, they're considered kids. Hell, most of you are probably kids... :)

Since it's in a Chinese plaza, I think some Chinese language skills would be required.

Where should I advertise peeps? Where do all the cool kids hang to chat? I will start stalking those forums, lol.

Location of the cafe is in Markham (Hwy 7 and Woodbine)...

1. what type of cafe, what will you be serving? bubble tea? food and drink?
2. I think if you post a sign up outside of the store (before opening) lots of ppl will walk by and see and call. Your best and easiest way to get applicants is to just put up signs in and around the plaza's in that area? I'm sure there are bulletin boards in some plazas in the hallways and or stuff like that

3. make sure you have 'criteria' when choosing your employees

asian kids tend to work hard, but like every "kid" in this generation they tend to be lazy and more concerned with socializing than actually providing good customer service

lastly do not choose girls that you find attractive and or would like to get in the sack with...... ABSOLUTE NONO! hahaha

then when they actually come into work they won't blame YOU for only hiring attractive young ladies.

how about i balance it out
i hire 1 smokin fob and 1 uhhhh sub par fob for ya......
that way it keeps the patrons in suspense

each time they show up they'll be like " i hope i get the hot girl"!!!

in the interview process bring a camera... and take a picture
if the girl puts up a peace sign when smiling and tilts her head sideways... and somehow still looks hot while doing it you know you got a winner

usually I see females working the floor and males making the drinks..

make sure the waitstaff (or hot girls) are nice/pleasant to the customers and remember to check up on the customers.. I hate it when the waitstaff deliver your drinks and food and never come back to see if everything is OK or if you need anything..
