Hi,
My engine light came on (amber) on Monday. Wednesday I topped off my tank from half full and had trouble starting. Let cool down for 10 min still nothing. Let cool down for another 10 min and it started. Brought to Gyro and they charged me for a purge solenoid for PCM P2187 and a new gas tank cap for $325. WTF? I just searched the bulletins and this P 2187 should have been covered under the TSB for my 2004 M3, no? WTF? Can anyone verify this? Does anyone know if gas caps should be covered by a TSB as the original ones they say are faulty.
