So i had my deck installed at lockdown on tuesday and all went well until a little incident happened. But that was not the case. I didn't really test it in full last time until yesterday because i haven't drove it after wards.

Long story short. Right now for some reason the deck is really loud, as in the volume is very loud. I can only use volume 1, 2, 3, and anything after that is very loud. When i had it installed on my mazda 3 last year, i never had this problem. Like normal volume to me was 7 or 8. But now volume 1 is like volume 7 and then volume 2 is like volume 10. Its such a big difference in volume with just 1 touch. I have already turned off the loud setting and its still like this. Anyone have any ideas why?

thanks

Are you running an amp for the sub? Perhaps they turned up the gain on the amp.

Its like that for dvd/cd/ipod/radio
And if the volume is turned all the way down, i hear buzzing sounds like the volume is too loud.

Since theres an oem amp you may need something along the lines of
http://www.peripheralelectronics.com/products.aspx?ProductID=333
it will allow you to turn the power from the alpine down so the factory amp will do all the work.

That amp should be hardwired into the OEM head unit, so it should have been removed already when you switched over to the alpine HU. Also the wattage of the speakers could be different from the ones you had on you previous ride. This will cause a difference in sound quality.
