There is a TSB if your car falls within the VIN range:

Ignore that TSB your car is an 08 model. You shouldn't have any issues with warranty.

Quick question, my car is well out of warranty, but would this still apply to mine as no-charge?

Is this applicable to MS3's as well? Just noticed some rust on mine as well.

Welp, I have the same issue with BOTH my wiper blades. Looks like the previous owner of my car didn't know about the TSB. Mine are probably 45-60% rusted from top to bottom. I hope I can still get this remedied free of charge (my VIN should fall in the spec'd range being a 2004).

Really? Which dealership did you end up going to? And how many kms does it have?

I'm not surprised - about the warranty denial.

Mazda was quick to deny me my warranty even though the part broke on the same day my warranty expires. By some random chance a tension spring broke out of my clutch pedal assembly and because it was a Sunday I couldn't report it. Phoned the very next day and they denied it claiming it was out of warranty. Wrote letters/emails, talked to people... and the best thing they could do (3 months later) was cover the part and not the labour.

In the end they want to charge me $300 bucks for a 50 cent spring.

Have you tried any other dealerships after they shot you down at Ajax? I'm getting a little rust on mine and I'll be checking out MoT this weekend for an oil change and then I'll bring it up then.

not yet... fortunately I've been on vacation for a bit.. and I don't drive my car too often. I got their final stance in July from the district manager, I have my letter re-drafted, and now it's off to OMVIC and the media groups.

There is no way I am paying for something like this. I think it was like $430 (gotta check my voicemail, estimates) including the part. Because the service dept is closed on Sunday, they effectively short-changed me on my 3 year warranty by not letting me access it. What's so stupid, they can't even see it. They keep blaming it on their computer systems. blah blah blah..

Sorry to divert the thread abit... ..btw, but my wiper arm has a bit of rust as well.. that's how it is related.

I know this may be a little off topic but I wouldn't recommend you go to Whitby cause my sister not too long ago toke her cx-7 in because her moonroof leaked and they brushed her off by telling her not to go into those automatic car washes (Sunoco, Petro, etc..). Meanwhile they had her car for 3 ****ing days and then have the balls to say they didn't even bother looking at it and brushed her off like nothing. She was so pissed at them that she ended up taking it to Ajax Mazda and lucky they looked at it and fixed it.

You could try the Mazda Agincourt (5500 Finch Ave East). Here's the map

I'm not so sure about there feedback but that can easily be found here...

Check out Mazda Dealership Experience (http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=94) all sorts of feedback there.

Any one here had their wiper arm replaced under warranty(TSB)?

I went to Dave Wood and mentioned this to them. The lady I was dealing with was quite insistent that it was only for 2004's. I mentioned to her about the bulletin and that is includes 2004 to 07 as long as it falls under the VIN, again, she said it was only for 04's. I will print out the bulletin and bring it to her. Mine is an 05 and falls under the VIN, hopefully it will get done.

mine is an 05 and had my arms and wiper blades replaced at Dave Wood, but not for rusty arms but for poor performance, was done when car was 6 months old, TSB sometimes the TSB are for U.S. cars like I found out for other issues

so does that mean the canadian mazda dealers will not honour those TSBs?

not all of the TSB, We all have squeaky early morning brakes, there is a TSB for a fix but was told it was for U.S. cars, Canadians get it in the a** again. but yes there are some that will be done, Check with your dealer if your VIN# requires some TSB repairs.

I may try to do it under warranty....maybe they will cover the wiper arms but I know that wiper blades will not be covered if you have already used your car for 12 months....they regard this as wear and tear just like brakes...

Actually, the service rep at Dave Wood did mention that it's under the 3year/80,000 warranty, but I am over that already. Worth a try I guess, coz they are 60 bucks each!
