I just read about the new advertising Bell has and I have say its def different. I'm not sure if they will gain or loose customers because of it or their new policy on text messages..

I hated Frank and Gordon at first, but they grew on me.

I'm definitely a fan of the new ads. I love the obscure type of ads like this. It won't make me switch to Bell, but I like the idea.

those beavers got the ad agency that dreamed them up fired...

ok well not fired, but they lost exclusivity.

I don't know why but I really like Norm MacDonald's voice (the smarter of the two beavers).

The new Bell logo reminds me of the Dell logo.

These ads are all over the TTC.

Bell is trying to revamp their advertising campaign after rough Q2 earnings, below analysts expectations http://www.rttnews.com/Content/BreakingNews.aspx?Node=B1&Id=676780%20&Category=Breaking%20News

Yeah I heard how Bell overall lost alot of residential and commercial customers.
Actually, I'm one of the residential customers they lost as I switched from Bell Sympatico to Rogers.

Time for a change I guess. The beavers were love or hate.

I was wondering why bell changed their logo though. Its clean now, but nothing to it, just the name.

could it be because of the fact they're bought out?

You know what's even funnier... they hired four ad agencies to come up with the "er" campaign... LAWL! Let's see how fast the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan runs Bell to the ground now.

Bell is already on the decline, the OTPP if anything will only help their cause. Bell need to reassess their processess and upgrade their techonology in order to keep up with competitors, its not ownership that will bring them down but their lack of acknowledement that times and technology has changed.

My mom (works for Bell) was just telling me about these ads the other day.

Too bad there customer service is still shit, and there phone plans are expensive.

On and they layed off 2500 people.

2500 upper management jobs... that must've been fun times. Again, signs of OTPP starting their takeover.

Haha yup!

Team of agencies

The new brand platform was conceived by Zulu Alpha Kilo, a new agency
founded by Zak Mroueh, the renowned Canadian creative genius behind
award-winning brand and advertising campaigns for companies such as Mini, Nike
and Pfizer.

The Dream Team composed to execute the new brand platform across Bell's
product and service portfolio consists of Zulu Alpha Kilo; the Toronto office
of Leo Burnett, one of the world's largest and most respected advertising
agencies; lg2, a top Montreal agency responsible for the French-language
platform and Cossette Communication Group, a long-time Bell marketing partner.

"We went with a team of the industry's best, led by an elite trio of
creative directors collaborating in a new and innovative client-agency model,"
said Mr. Seifeddine. "We think the team's work speaks for itself in terms of
clarity, emotional connection, boldness - and strong support for our strategy
to deliver a better customer experience."

One thing, though, that I think Bell did RIGHT... it got people talking about it. This thread is a perfect example. People have started talking a lot more about Bell since these came out. So I think, whether you like it or not, the campaign worked.
