So after suffering for about a year with some major noise issues coming into my component speakers and subwoofer i finally fixed the problem. Just a recap i installed the entire system in my car, i put alpine type x components in the fronts 60 watts rms, i put alpine type s in the rears (50 watts rms), an infinity subwoofer (350 watts rms), and 2 amps by kenwood (4 channel and 2 channel bridged). The install took a long time, but what really really took a long time was to figure out the noise issues. When the car was off there would be no problems, maybe the odd Ticking coming out of the speakers when the volume was on low.:flaming But when i would turn the car on there would be a prominent ZZZZZZ sound (noise) coming out of the component speakers, and it would start to whine as i stepped on the gas peddle, so i had no choice but to turn all my gains at minimum on my amps which made my sound system sound weaker then the factory system. (pathetic). I eventually gave up on troubleshooting the noise problem and kind of lived with it for a year until i got so fed up because i actually ended up increasing my gains and hearing the whine all the time, it was embarrassing to have ppl in my car to say the least. Luckily i was reading some forums here and someone mentioned that Pioneer deck RCA outputs are not grounded sometimes causing major problems. So i decided to look into mine. Sure enough after fiddling with my system, the RCA outputs for the components and the sub woofer were not grounded, i was so disappointed in Pioneer for this. The weird part is the RCA output for the rear speakers was grounded but not the other two. SO i got out my soldering iron and i wrapped a long stripped piece of wire around one of the ungrounded RCA's (there was a total of 4 that were ungrounded but they were all connected to each other so i only had to ground one). So from one of the RCA outputs i had a wire going to the metal case of the deck where i secured it nicely, i mean it looked pretty crappy but the job was done, that's all it took to get rid of the noise i was living with for a year. That's why i made this post, for anyone having the same issue, "as the rpms go higher the whine increases", not only that before the system was grounded any time i turned on the rear defrosters or the A/C or the fan the whine would get even stronger, so the main problem was that since those RCA's were not grounded all kind of garbage noise was being radiated into them because lets face it our cars are known for a lot of noise in the first place. i wish i took some pics of the setup after complete. but finally the job is done properly, now i set my gains pretty high and the sound system is banging with completely NOOOO NOISE. :bana
