New Door Speakers

So Im looking into replacing my door speakers (front and rear). I was wondering what is the size that most of you have put in and was there any modification to fit them in. Stock is 5 x 7, the ones I am looking at are JBL, im a huge fan of JBL so Id like to stay that route. They only make a 6x8 (their version of the 5x7). Would they fit? I know I can probably do some cutting to get them in but id rather not.

A 6x8 will fit.

As SS said they (6x8) will drop right in, our 3's fit both sizes, but have you considered 6.5 components for the front, they have several models, cheapest being the P650c....they will give you better sound and staging, but you'll need an adaptor and a little more detail in the installation.

In general a lot of 6x8 speakers tend to be 5x7s with an adaptor.
