Yeah the pssibilities are endless you can have bugs living in your car, the car is easilly flammable will probably smell weird and i bet you it will not be great in an accident!!! honestly what was the point of buildng this

Wow, that's just just one big fire hazard just waiting to happen. Seems that people forget supercars do catch fire when their hot engine ignites oil in the enginebay, this thing is going to go up in smoke twice as fast.

Don't forget about the wood splinters that are flying at you in a crash as well, good luck picking those out of your ass if that happens.

Have you ever worked with wood in your life. Carpentry is a serious art. Imagine how much pleasure that guy got out of something like this. I wish I could do crazy shit with wood.

+1, I for one can appreciate how awesome this project is being my father was an Ol' time carpenter, working with wood is an art and what this guy built is just awesome!!....Technically if he had planned to use light wood in his whole project he could have build a real racer, cause don't forget one of the fastest fighters in WW2 was made completely of wood, not much of an analogy but you get my point, I hope :)

i cant believe some of you guys are making negative comments about this.

It looks good, but.... why?

what do you mean why, why do anything? why does ferrarri keep making faster cars when gas prices keep going up, why does lamborghini introduce a new more expensive car every year? why....because they can, and because people appreciate the art. the same goes for this, because there are a lot of people who truly appreciate art will really enjoy the effort and enginering that is going into this.

I know its art, so is building a ferrari is art. This car is made out wood with a engine in it.. I cant see it go anywhere further then a museum. And pride of building something out of wood on 4 wheels. Your right he could have enjoyed building this, but its not street legal, wont pass any motor vehicle standards nor anyone will want to drive and no safety. So all I see is dead end plus saying look I build a wooden car. He could have build a real car with all the time and money he spent into this.

alot of vehicles that are custom built are never actually driven. This wouldn't be the first one. Even if it can drive.

Look at some of the bikes OCC builds.. even though they do run and can be ridden, I bet 90% of them never see the road again after the show

^^Probably true maybe not. Its more of a symbolic thing like one episode they build a bike for fire deprtment. People buy these things not just to ride it, some people would collect these things, Or its something that would represent them. This car yes it does all these things except one.. Most likely he will not build it again, which leads to dead end. You build a wooden car.. what do you get out of it? Just pride of bulding it? He might cover the financial cost from selling it to museum. But then what?

The best part of the whole project is actually have the audacity to refer to the rear bulkhead as a "firewall".

But the real point is not an excercise in carpentry. The point is using wood in a modern composite form. Pound-for-pound wood is the strongest natural composite material. Ply wood is the most common improvement and more recently the engineered timbers. But the idea of weaving wood and the molding it with a resin to produce a composite panel similar to aramid or carbon fibers is unique as far as I know. I think it's a cool project.

why do all you guys mod your cars? if you can come up with the answer to that you will know the answer to why he built that car.....

all this hate for something that 100% of the people who are hating couldn't do themselves...there's another reason why he built it...

I dont hate it, I like the car I even said it looks good.
