Hi everyone,
I haven't managed to find any pictures or descriptions how to run aftermarket wires (16 G) into the doors. Seems like there are some connectors.
Has anyone done that ? Any pictures, tips ?

google "mazda3 speaker install" and you will come across a good tutorial on running wires through the door connectors. I don't have the site bookmarked.... but I did come across it a couple of times when I was looking for advice on installing speakers....

I just cut off the connectors and soldered the wire right onto the aftermarket speakers. I kept the connectors on the stock speakers in case i wanted to switch back.

Does anyone have a picture of the place I can pull the ground wire into the cabin ? I've read somewhere there is a plug i can remove and use that hole. Thanx.

Why do you have to pull the ground into the cabin? Just use a grounding point in the trunk.

Kind of an interesting question though... is there an actual grommit to use or do you have to punch through that... what is that thing behind the battery?

If you have an auto trans, you can drill a small hole in the plastic clutch cover plate. It is obviously located on the drivers side. In that persons how-to they removed the battery and a bunch of other stuff to drill it, I wouldn't recommend this. All you need to do is drill from the inside out and you don't even have to remove the cover.
If you have a manual trans you will need to go through the grommet that is behind the glove box.

Excellent! I've seen descriptions of where to run the wire, but these pics make it clear! :bana2
