Today at Future Shop I Purchased 2 of these for 9.99 each.... So worth it versus the 29.99 you see at other places.
I also went to Tiger Direct, and just released the Acer Aspire One 8" laptop.
Its 120 gb hdd 1 Gig DDR and Wifi. 3 USB ports 5 card reader slot.
Perfect for mobile on the go, and Car shows LOL!

the kingston is only on sale til tomorrow. Also, if u go bestbuy and price match it, it'll be only ~$7 + tax cuz they sell it for $39.99 at bestbuy.
I went with a friend today and after litterally 45 mins of aruging (im not even joking), they give it to us but we can only buy 1 per person. Thats dumb. I got so pissed, and on top of that the cashier guy, after the manager told him to give it to us but only 1 each, he enters in the comp as $12 and 2 quantity and the total comes up to $27 and hes keeps saying it was right. I was so pissed and wanted to call him a dumbass but i know its not his fault that we had to wait so long for them to price match something like this.
Oh yea, they didnt give it to us at first because in order for price match to work, they have to be sold out at the futureshops IN CANADA. So they tell us that the futureshop closest to them is all sold out so we cant price match it. Then we were like, so search online, theres tons at other locations, and she does and then comes back and says, oh well we dont know how many but we can only sell you 2 (one each) and that is the best we can do. (we wanted to buy 10 lol for some of our other friends too). In the end, i thought this was so pointless because they didn't want didnt acknowledge it right away until we argued with them and even afterwards they kept on finding excuses to not sell it to us because i think they were losing business from sell this

The 4gb is nice if you only wanna store documents in it, but the speeds are terrible otherwise

I picked the 4gb Kingston up from Best Buy in Burlington last Sunday :)
I went in and looked at all the drives, until someone came over, I thought they were on sale there and FS. I told the guy I thought I seen them in the flyer, after looking through it we checked FS and he price matched it for me with no problem or concern :). I actually have it plugged into my work lappy right now, I use it for bringing music on to listen to, and all my portable apps work great on it.
I have no problems with the read/write time, works fast enough for me.
To think I paid $20 for 1GB PGY crap not long ago..
Think I may pick another up just for a spare :)

i've had a 4gb data traveller (got it from work) for about a year now and i love it....the built in encryption is perfect...i keep copies of my drivers for my lappy and PC in case i need to reformat plus other misc things (i.e. service manual for the car)...i use a 512mb SanDisk Cruzer at work...it would be nice if it had built in encryption

I just picked one of these up to replace the one that I bought ($30 at the time) earlier in the year and subsequently lost.

I got an 8gb Patriot stick from Dell a while back for $20, and I was really surprised the read/write was blazing fast... Too bad I lost it :(

I got the Acer Aspire One from tigerdirect last week the one with 120 gb hdd 1 Gig DDR. It was the last one that they have when i got there. 2 more guys behind me wanted to buy too but too late, unless they buy the display one. I love that netbook, is small, light, quick, and the batt last 6 hrs. Perfect gift for my gf b-day present.

Future shop now has the Kingston DataTraveler 8GB for $19.99. I find this is much more worth while. So grab em while you can.

I also picked up myself an AA1 a few days ago at futureshop. I got the 512ram/8gb SSD model for its ruggedness and currently running it with xubuntu. FS's deal was, for an extra 9.99 you get a HP all in one printer (something of which i was needing to but as my old laser is on its way out).
Those 8gb thumbdrives are quite the deal though for the price. Might just have to pick up one or two for school.
ps. for the AA1 users on the board www.aspireoneuser.com is an awesome forum for support.
