Hi, I'm new to this forum. I just bought a 2008.5 GS Sedan last week. When I open the driver side door it shakes a little bit. I just took it back to the dealer and now the car needs to be towed to a body shop to fix it. They said the door hinge is not aligned properly. Has anyone heard of this problem?

Nope.... and if it is misaligned... why wouldn't the dealer fix it?
What dealer? and What Body Shop?

It's Ontario Mazda. They will fix it but since they do not have a body shop, they have to send the car to a body shop in Oakville. Do you know if this problem should have been caught during the PDI which I paid for? The Service guys tells me checking the alignment of the doors is not part of the PDI. I am really ticked off that this car is not even a week old and now has to be towed to Oakville.

You can take it to ANY Mazda dealer for warranty work! Did you get extended warranty? If so, I believe a courtesy car is covered. So you could drive it to Oakville Mazda yourself.....

It may not be part of the PDI, but it does fall under the 1yr/20K adjustment.
But any tech should be able to do it.. I have no idea why they would be panning it off on the body shop.

the door alignments are deffinatly NOT apart of a pdi and as per everyone else they are correct it does not need to be sent to the body shop for realignment. All you have to do is loosen the door latch on the body and shift it.
