Cost of finding out you left the gas tank cap on the trunk of your car and drove off and it fell somewhere and driving 155km without one and being told that someone must have forgot to put it back on when you're the only one that drives that car: Priceless

I think we've all lost a gas cap at some point throughout our years of driving!

But I'm curious about the fact that you could put the gas cap on the trunk of your car??? Don't all Mazda's have a plastic string holding the cap to the gas tank door to avoid the situation you just had?

Ya they come with a strap but I got my car used and it was broken.
