I installed a set of new speakers in the fronts so I have decided to move my 6.5s to the rears. I originally cut off the stock plug and added connectors to attach to the speakers for the fronts. I was going to do the same for the rears but I found a great alternative.
It's a speaker wire harness which has an OEM plug (that is usually attached to the stock speaker) with 2 wires coming out of it that connect directly to the aftermarket speaker. It's made by Metra and you can find it at Selective Sound (special order) and online (Ebay, crutchfieldcanada.com, etc). Ebay is the cheapest if you order a couple sets all at once.
Metra part number is - 72 5600
Here is a pic of the harness.
