Not sure if you're asking people here think there's something wrong with the part, or if you should let the dealer change the IM. Honestly, if they're telling you there's something wrong with it, and they'll cover it under warranty, I say get it replaced.

Yeah.... the dealer is going to replace a part for free. Why not do it?

there must be a reason why they want to replace it.....and it's free.....there's no reason you shouldn't

Did you complained about the engine ticking noise when idle? Does they replaced it with new type? Hopefully this is a recall for IM that induces a bad sound...

Just getting back to the last question when I went to the dealer my car was working perfectly then he told me that he would recomend that he the dealer replace the manifold beacuse there's a good chance that a sensor would eventually become lose or corroded so he just replaced the entire manifold encluding the sensor that came along with. He also told me at some point their sould be a recall coming out on this part in the near furture, haven't had other problems other then when im driving on my passanger side door, when the windw is down I hear a little shaking form the passanger side maybe its the window ? I'll take it in and have the dealer look at it.

Did you get an engine light? Dealers don't replace things just like that for no reason.

they probably see the problem a lot so they recommend the fix, its covered under warranty so the customer gets free labour and the dealer gets paid from mazda. kinda scammy, but not too horrible?

Not common at all but hey you're getting a $300+ part for free. Can't complain about that.
