Looking to upgrade sound system

Hey, Pretty new at all this I want to upgrade my sound system in my Mazda 3. Starting with the deck then an amp, subs and last speakers.. any suggestions that wont cost too much but will sound good??

There is tonnes of stuff on this site and others (esp. www.mazda3forums.com) on upgrading Mazda3 audio.

There are some very good deals available from our sponsors.

That said... if you are are on a budget and not doing everything at once, the place to start is replacing the stock speakers. Then an amp, and finally a sub if/when you feel your speakers & amp need some extra low end-punch.

I just got my sub & amp installed yesterday and I can't say enough good things about the service I got from Jeff. He did a great job on my car and gave good advice. Even got a few spots touched up while my parts were getting installed. I will definitly go back in the future and tell anyone I know to go there too.
