Noisy Air Conditioning?

I have an 08.5 GX, and whenever I use the A/C, I hear a very noisy whirring coming from the front of the vehicle every 2 minutes. I've been in plenty of cars and I've never heard an A/C unit labouring so much before. Is this normal?

Does this usually occur on hotter days? If so, its you fan kicking in and out, keeping things cool under the hood. That will happen more often in city driving. Just let the car run to this point, pop the hood and wait for it, see if its the fan.

If its occuring every 2 minutes like clock-work it could be the fan, maybe the bearing is shot...or it could be the compressor belt....things do come defective from the factory sometimes! :)

Its not normal and Your under warranty so best thing is have the dealer look at it.
