Problem turning off stereo

When I press the button to turn off the stereo, it wont turn off. Have to give it a good smack and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt.

I don't have the problem... but as a cure, you could try pulling the knob off squirting contact cleaner (get it at The Source) around the shaft .. try to get it into the switch part of the knob by turning it and pressing in a bunch of times.
