So my good old Mazda3 will be gone soon and now I am looking for the next car (sadly it won't be another zoom-zoom). Researching online and bump into some guy from a local "Auto leasing consultant firm", those they claim dealing with all various dealers and can get u a better deal. Apparently he quoted me a pretty decent deal claiming dealer can't match if I happened to walk in myself, and he invited me to visit his office for further discussion. So here's the question, has anyone had experiences dealing with these agencies? are they trustworthy to give them my personal information to process a new car? or how realistic are their deals to be matched by a local dealer? or maybe is it really worth it to deal with these guys instead of the dealers?

I need ur inputs, pls help!

I bought my car through a broker and he got me a better deal that I could get on my own. If you do a search for Nick at Discount Auto Brokers, you should be able to find my post detailing how I bought my car.

A lot of leasing agencies are considered "fleet agents" - they can usually purchase cars for a couple hundred over dealer cost - and lease it to you at that rate - their rates are much higher typically - but the price of the cars are so much lower that many times it's a great deal - I leased a GTI VR6 from a company, and the lease rates dropped two years later and I got myself into an A4 quattro 1.8T for $100 LESS than the vdub through the same company - I was also able to sell the car for a profit since they got such a great deal on the car!!
Just note the buyback - some make you guarantee the price!

Thanks guys for the inputs. So it looks it's a good approach, now let me explain my plan, I am looking for a new Lexus IS, not to lease but financing the car, so guess the financing rate will still go thru Lexus not the broker, right? Could anyone suggest a reputable broker? Thanks alot!
