I have a question, I am looking for a GPS Unit for my Mazda3, I just bought the Garmin 260w for 249.99 at Futureshop, but see a more feature rich unit from CoolNavi.

Does anyone have or heard of this brand of GPS and how it fares for what it does,

thanks

I still use my coolnavi, but I trust it only cuz I can back it up with the GPS on the iPhone...but, it's a 7" 800-600 touchscreen which is not bad...

if I had to do it again, I may have resurrected my pcoketpc for gps duty or get one of the new garmin units...if you're not up for it, I would not try to do the coolnavi gps/oem dash box install...just get a garmin from costco, my friend returns his every year for a new one...

Depending on how much you want to spend.. For example I installed the OEM looking flip up screen which sits on the top center of the dash and plus hooked it up with a Garmin GVN53 black box navi unit looks stock. I dished out $1100 for both but it works like a champ....

I have a Nuvi 650 and actually love it! Just got back from Europe and with the SD card Maps it worked awesome. Can't beat the quality/functionality for that price!

I think the general consensus is that Garmin makes the best GPS systems, period.

What are you basing this statement on? I'm just curious... as I wouldn't even consider Sony a player in this market... just another also-ran.

I'm glad to hear this! I have the same one and planned to use it in Europe next summer so I'm really happy to find out it actually works!

I have a garmin nuvi 350 and I love it. Its compact (small enough to fit comfortably in the shirt pocket), the screen is large enough to view the directions, flat screen, touch screen, has voice directions, has all the mounting units (dash, windshield), has SD card slot for additional maps, MP3 player and many more. Very satisfied with it. Cant think of getting anything better. One time investment that will last for a long time (had it for 3 yrs now)

The only thing that it doesnt have is bluetooth which I have seen on most of the new GPSes in the market. But I dont need that so it doesnt matter.

And Garmin is a brand that makes the best GPS from what I have heard.
