So i was listenng to my new system what has 2 amps 1 of which turns on when the car is one the other has a switch on it. as i was listening to my music i turned on the second amp the volumr was loud at this point and my headunit just shut off. the light(leds) are still on but the lcd screen is deAd no backlight at all. i think it may be the fuse any1 now where it is and how i can check bte the car is a lease if it is not the fuse should i take it to dealer?

Room fuse under hood (F31) in the fuse box or radio fuse (F44) on the PJB which is underneath the glovebox. Check the room fuse first.

Sounds like you need to get the power feed for your amps dealt with! It sounds like the installer didn't take the time to run a dedicated feed.

^^^ That doesn't sound right. There shouldn't be anything going back from the amps into the headunit.

I think he's just saying those are the wires sizes running from the battery to amps. Not sure if it says anything about the headunit.

I would have to agree though that it looks to be a fuse issue but who knows.

I actually meant that there shouldn't be anyway for the amps to overload the headunit.

Yes, strange symptoms.
Amps and head unit must be grounded.
What RC converter was used or not?

+1 on the grounding. Flaky amp ground might be causing the amp to "ground" through the inputs rather than the ground wire. The HU is probably designed to withstand a dead-short of its speaker outputs... but all bets are off if the amp shoves current back into into it.
