What year is the car, which one is it? Speed3, 3GT, etc?

I notice sometimes when I'm driving spiritedly, and I come to a stop with my car in neutral, and I'm off the pedal, it clicks/grinds. This is normal from what I have understood from many posts and threads. A lot of people have this problem, but it seems its just the way the car gearbox/clutch package was designed.

If its an issue, bring it in to the dealer if your still warrantied? If the car doesn't give you any major problems, don't bother until it breaks to be honest.

I have the same problem. I already booked an appointment at airport mazda. I have to leave the car there for a day or 2 cuz they have to remove the tranny to check if the clicking noise is the release bearing or the step plate or something like that

Is this covered under the warranty?
Keep us informed on what they do

they found out it was the release bearing and changed it. As long as you are within the 36month/80,000k warrenty, u are covered.
