Im about to get the tire package recommended at tirerack for my 2008 GT
they are the Dunlop Winter Sport SP 3D with steel wheels for $596 US is that a good deal and is that a pretty good tire?
I need to get them within the next three days so I would really appreciate all prompt feedback.
Thanks in advance. Im going nuts with the stock winter tires. Im lucky not to have crashed so far =/

I have the Winter Sport M3 (I think one model year older tire) got em from Tirerack last year - amazing tires. The price sounds good - BUT you will get killed on shipping and $$ conversion - see what the Can$ amount is and then let us know, call up some of the sponsors (or better yet, go there in person if you can) and see what they've got.
Good luck!

Price is about average. Simply tire was, and maybe still if they have any left, selling the same package for $750. $596 US is $748 Canadian. Buy local if possible, and don't pay shipping.

Yeah thought it was a good deal but $200 shipping its insane.
Any suggestions where to start calling, should I try to get the dunop winter still or what other ones are good?
Is there a way I can spend less than 700 with taxes here in toronto for a performance tire/rims set?
thanks

You won't be able to reach him anywhere by phone right now. Given the weather conditions, you will be lucky if anybody has winter packages left. I would suggest going to either or both of Simply Tire or Tires23, and see what they can do for you.
Sub $700 taxes in, not likely.

If you get something for under $800 you are still getting a very good deal.
If you want sub $700, you might want to lurk on craigslist/kijiji.
