hey guys I'm at mazda now and my rear tires are somewhat tilted and bald in the inside. I'm pretty sure it's cambers that are shot. He's telling me it needs a rear alignment for 89 bucks. Is this bs? Never heard of rear alignment

No its not bs...my bro gf mazda needed an aliment in the rear cause her tires wore out to....And it was way out(the aliment) when she got an aligment done. Her car has 40,000km.

Rear alignment is not BS. Are you lowered? If you are lowered and don't have a camber kit..you are throwing away your $89 as they won't be able to fix your alignment.

Yeah, not BS, even before I got dropped, my alignment was way out of wack. If they're charging you $89 I say go visit Altech Automotive for $69 for all four corners.

$89 with tax is not bad, otherwise forget it.
Like SFW said, if you are lowered (and I think you are), don't do alignment.
Get the camber kit, and do the alignment.
BTW, since our rear camber kits are a PAIN in the ass to configure. People might charge more. So make sure you settle on a price before you do it.
Run it around -1.5 degrees (rear) if you can.
I was at -2.2 (rears) and even though it was within spec, I was getting sight camber wear.

surprisingly, not lowered. Though, I do have the springs and a camber kit. Should I just wait to put those on?

If your rear camber is out of whack, and they do the alignment. They won't fix the issue.
You can ask, if the problem is the rear camber, can you claim this alignment under warranty because rear camber is not adjustable.

If they won't let you, put the springs/camber kit on, wait two weeks and do your alignment

Rear camber is only adjustable if you have Eibach-type adjustable camber links. (Eibach buys them and rebadges them, the same links show up from other vendors as well).

The stock and the MazdaSpeed links are fixed... ie. not adjustable.

West-end - Altech
East-end - K.S.L.

have a look in the shop review section. I've been to both and I recommend both.
