Good point! Even Jim Kenzie from the Star remarked that it's usually ppl in 4wd/awd "big" cars that crash first in winter cuz they do not drive according to conditions...

Because they think their big cars and the 4wd/awd is safer and better during the winter, so they drive like idiots.

OUCH...To me, AWD is a "just in case"...same with ABS...if you drive properly, you shouldn't NEED it in most cases...but it's there to help. It's not an excuse to drive like an :AH

Wow that sucks. I did that with a old sunfire and it cost $1500 to fix but that was only on the rear left side. I bet this is over $3000 worth of damage.

Assuming he was turning, how does one 'slide' into a curb, a bend both wheels on the passenger side?
From the looks of it, it appears he was on ice or something because it doesn't seem like damage from over or understeer.

why, for having your dealership post pictures of your car in the service department and then mock you on the internet even though your repair bill and stupidy keeps many of the staff gainfully employed?

Looks like a left-turn understeer slide to the right...
or maybe a tail-swap during a high speed right turn where the tail started to go and owner lifted...
Either way, I don't think it's good karma to laugh at ppl's accidents...unless it's pure idiocy...like if the owner was doing donuts (cool) and decided to make wider and wider swings until they unknowingly hit the parking lot concrete curb dividers (not cool)...lol...

i am assuming that was the case, we'll let MOT confirm. then this thread should be moved to dealer reviews so new customers can see what may happen to their cars when they drop it off for repair.

Car appears stock, and no license plate is revealed.
I doubt we will ever know the identity of the driver or owner.

you don't bite the hand that feeds you. if the customer is paying you for a service, posting pictures of their vehicle without permission and being critical of their driving abilities isn't cool; its disrespectful and a bad decision for everyone at MOT (if again the assumption is correct they took these pictures, this is their customer etc.)

i agree with your perspective, but Joe doesn't seem like the type of guy to do something like that. If Joe is saying he is a shitty driver, I am going to assume the driver is an idiot and that Joe knows the story behind the incident.

Why can't we have some harmless fun with someone's misfortune without it turning into a case of political bullshit? The guy likely isn't part of this forum, and likely never will be. If it was a 3, Flipdaddy never would have brought it up here, but maybe on TM6 or something...and they'd laugh!
Why does everyone have to assume something said will offend someone else in this country?? "We'd better start speaking every language of every immigrant we run into so as to not offend them!" Last I checked we spoke French and English nationally... don't like it? Piss off. Same idea here. Harmless fun, if you don't like it, don't respond. Flipdaddy tries to amuse us, and you start bashing his dealership?? Come on people, stop reading so deep into things!

i'm sure most of the people on here have watched youtube videos of cars getting into accidents due to poor weather right? this is not even close to what those people went through. this is far from anything like that because on youtube you actually see it happen and the drivers reaction. here you just see the aftermath from someones wrong decision and we can use it as a reference to what can happen if we make the same mistake. but thats my $.02

What does english/french or any of the languages represented by many of the members on this board have to do with this thread? Preserving your culture is your right and a freedom of Canada. Violating a customers trust is bad business practice and is nothing like the issues you raised. Take your loyalist blinders off for a second and maybe you could appreciate that wasn't the best idea for building a trust relationship with your customers.
if a member had taken and posted the photo that is very different than the staff you are paying for a professional service. I am not disagreeing that crashing your car, or 90% of people on youtube shouldn't be mocked... they should. But that shouldn't be happening from a business transaction without your knowledge... thats all i am saying. you can go back to your rant about multicultureism now :)

Language was a reference to the idea here... talking about how politically things can be blown out of proportion!
Who jumped to conclusions here? You AUTOMATICALLY assumed it was from his dealership!! Do you know it was? No. It was never said that it was from his dealership... (words strongly suggest that, but nothing difinitively does)
Talk about being contradictory... you have never watched an accident video and laughed? What is the difference if its on youtube, break.com or a local garage?? Don't look so deep into something, just have a laugh and let it be!

the guy probably already feels like a jackass, and knows he will be having to pay a lot of money, even more since MoT recently increased their labour costs because of the economy, or whatever...
Yes it's fun to mock people who do stupid stuff, however if this was my car, and people who shouldn't really know about the situation are made privy to it by the people you trust to fix your car, I would definitely be really pissed. I would almost want my car back so someone else could fix it.

I said in each post that MOT would have to confirm it was them before any of that blame be cast; that is a working assumption that needs validation not an unadulterated blind accusation that you seem to feel I am making.

I am not sure if you are having trouble reading or not, but this is the third time I have re-iterated that none of the comments are valid until the question is answered if this is even an MOT car.
you are now taking a stance of defamation of character yourself by not reading and accusing me of slander. Like i said no more post whoring under a series of predicated assumptions... chill out and let MOT set the stage for how the conversation continues or doesn't
