Well a month ago i decided my 3 didnt have enough bumb so i bought a simple setup (stinger LOC, Pioneer amp and sub)
i hooked everything up and it worked like a charm...
this morning i noticed my sub wasnt working so i looked in the trunk and the sub was just slowly moving back and forth, even without the stereo on...
got home and ripped apart my dash looking for a loose wire to no avail...
so now i need to know if i need a new amp or not...
(i hooked up another sub to my amp and it did the same thing so its not a blown sub...my power light on the amp is also on)
PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I GO NUTS!!!!:loco

Your pioneer amp could be fried.. Had the same problem with my octane R phoenix gold amp...... it actually thumps at times it isnt suposed to.... and yes when the radio is off you hear the umpppph.. if that pioneer is under warranty return it and get a replacement..... another reason it could be bad ground on the amp.

All I can think off is: Bad grounding, check all your connections make sure they are not loose, your wires might have noise, meaning bad wires. What kinda deck you have? As well as your amp has/runs on way to much power, Maybe you need capacitors..
Oh if the amp was fried the light would not come in, or the subs would play out of head unit power, which you won't hear any bass

no the light is just a blue power on light on the top of the amp...
i checked the wiring but i think ill need to take a much closer look at it...and i beleive the amp is still under warranty as i only got it less than a month ago...
i just wanna make sure its the amp...
i also wanna make sure that this isnt a grounding problem (wheres a good place to ground an amp)
im not getting any bass at all and it just slowly moves back and forth...

what he said or not sure mazdas but under the carpet in the trunk there should be big bolts as well that goes into the frame.
If subs dont work, then make sure its wired correctly.
