It's funny when the person is being stupid. However, this guy is responsible and is doing this on a race track.
If you have a problem with kevcol74, deal with it via PM.

On topic: My hypothesis is that he went in too hot, took the wrong line and screwed up his weight shifting.

he lifted, weight shifted to the front of car, rear-end lost traction, did the merry-go-round and ate a wall...

he did this on a track and out of his own volition...nothing funny about this...but a great lesson to learn for those who aspire to drive their car like it's meant to be driven...

I'm sure some of you guys laugh at guys falling off a 12-storey highwire to their deaths too...now let's see you go and do it...

+1

mazdaspeeds isn't as easy to drive as I thought they would be. First time I entered into a corner too hot & lifted at the track I thought the rear was going to fly out. Other fwd I've owned is far more forgiving then this car... also far slower hehe.

At least the driver of the car had enough of a sense of humor to mention muting the sound due to choice words and not to mention then posting it himself on Youtube himself (or she, girls can drive cars too you know!) :)

On a side note, had we just seen this car in the shop with a pic of the damage and no video to show how it happened, I wonder what our respective repsonses would have been... :whoa

damn that sucks, so could he have saved himself mid-way? counter steer a bit more and more throttle?

Does suck though - my friend used to own a Posrche C4 - we went to the driver training at Mosport - some guy in a brand new 911 turbo - lifted throttle mid-corner, touched the gas, spins into wall. Never seen a grown man cry like that before :(

Yeah even just countersteer would help.. He probabaly would loose control if he pressed on gas while countersteer. I practice drifting on parking lots, lots of fun and learning to cotrol your car too

Thanks Fuman... couldn't have said it more eliquently myself! :chuckle

I fail to see the similarity of a guy curbing it in the snow likely drifting like an idiot and a guy on a race track spinning out and tagging the wall in his car, especially if its for charity!!
Just found out the maturity level in this thread!

Similarities, I see a few, they're both MS6's and they're both going to need major body work and both will probably see a HUGE increase in their insurance premiums!!! :chuckle

Speed 6 rims are fine, just stay away from winter rims and fast corners and overtaking Miatas on a racetrack!!
