Burnt Out Lighting on HVAC Controls

Just noticed that one side of my HVAC controls has dim lighting which means more than likely one of the LEDs inside has burnt out. Does anyone know if I have to replace the whole unit or is there a bulb I can just replace?

If you are technically handy you could definitly relpace the LED. Like you've seen people have replaced the red LEDs with blue and white ones so I'm sure a simple replacement would be ok. Its a regular small LED on a chip board. If you find the how-to on the LED color changing I'm sure you could utilize that. A thought might be to replace all at once so you don't get different colors along the panel.

The best bet would be to call scrap yards.I got 500$ worth of dealer price parts for just 150$ from used car. yes If you are technically handy you could definitly relpace the LED for your hvac control.

well think about the costs associated with replacing the LED...solder, soldering iron, leds...if you don't have the equipment I would ask and see if anyone else can do it.

One of mine was dim the other day, turned out it was just super cold, I didn't know they were LEDs.

They are bulbs and can be bought from a Mazda dealership. Nice bump btw!

I had mine replaced last year. The bulbs are pretty cheap, around $7 each. Just remember to get 2 and replace the one on the other side at the same time.

What are they called wouldn't mind replacing all bulbs and fuses needed for the car. Any idea what fuses we need for our mz3's? Thanks

My shifter lights are completely gone now....
