I previously had only good experiences at Mississauga Mazda but yesterday I had my first bad experience. It did start off well, but ended up being a frustrating experience.
On my war to work my car starting shaking really violently on the highway so I called up Mississauga Mazda and they told me I could bring it in right away. First bad sign: their driveway and parking lot was FULL of snow. Good thing I had my winters on and they have the drive-in garage. Left my car and got shuttled to work. By the way, the shuttle driver is a great guy, great friendly service every time!
They called me at work a few hours later and said they checked and removed any snow/ice build up but the problem still persisted so they thought it would be a good idea to balance the tires. I okayed the work and they told me my car should be ready by around noon and they would give me a call. I wait until 3 p.m. before calling them for an update. Turns out the car was ready and they sent the shuttle for me.
As we pull into the dealership, still lots of snow everywhere. Before I went inside I noticed my car is parked in a pile of snow, great :bang. It seemed that there was still snow build up on my steelies as well. So I pay for my service and went on my way. Took me 5 minutes of going back and forth to get out of the snow my car was parked in. So I finally drive off only to discover the problem is still there. I call them up and tell them I'm coming back.
A service staff takes a look at my car and points out all the snow on my steelies. I said, well of course there's snow, my car was parked in your parking lot which is full of snow. They took my car back in and did the same work they said they did earlier, removed and balanced all tires and cleaned all the snow off as well, all in about 15 minutes! I was happy they did it so quickly but wondered why it took them so long to do it during the day in the first place. I asked them if they could test drive the car first to make sure the problem was gone, and they brushed me off and said it was fine now. I was a little weary of driving off again and having the problem come back. Thankfully, the problem was resolved and my car was fine.
While I was at the dealership, numerous other customers came in to complain about the snow in the parking lot, one person was even stuck and they had to get 4 mechanics out to push the car into the garage! Needless to say that customer was fuming as well.
After I had to come back, other than the shuttle driver, none of the other service staff were apologetic, I felt like I was just a nuissance to them. I don't know if it's because they are closing soon and just going through the motions, but it was definitely a frustrating experience for me.
So to sum up:
I'm happy with:
-initial phone update
-shuttle service
-the fact that they fixed the problem right away and quickly
I'm not happy with:
-the crazy amount of snow in their driveway/parking lot
-them not following up with me after the initial phone update
-the amount of time it took them to clean snow and balance tires (left the car at 8:30 a.m. and it was ready at 3:00 p.m.)
-them blaming me for the snow on my wheels after they serviced the car and parked it in snow
-them brushing me off when I asked if they could test drive the car after the second service was done
