Hi,

I would like to know from people who have installed Razo pedals (the ones where no drilling is necessary) on Mazda3 stick shifts, on how they perform and how secure the clamps are.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

I've installed the Razo pedals but not on a Mazda3. Had it installed in my ex's Honda Del Sol which was stick shift. Easy install with no drilling required (about 10 mins max). It just fastens with 4 nuts and bolts per pedal and were pretty secure. You'll also need to get your feet adjusted to it for about 5 mins or so as the pedals are raised a bit higher. the pedals were bigger too so it made heel toe down shifting easier.

Hope that helps a bit.

I've got a set and I find that they don't quite fit properly as there is a bolt on the back of the pedal that gets in the way of the clamp. I've managed to get it on by only using the top clamp and one of the bottom ones. I guess it may depend on the set and how its designed. I'll see if i can get a pic somewhere. Otherwise i like em cause it makes downshifting a breeze cause you can use the side of your foot to blip the gas! :)

Both sets cost about the same in the GTA

I would go for the 2nd link since they seem more durable and not as slippery though I recall meeting someone at a meet who had the pedals in the first link. I was thinking about getting RAZO before I ended up joining Chris' GB for the OEM Pedals.

The first set looks a lot better in my opinion and should work well when the bottom of your shoes are dry but I think they will be extremely slippery during rain & snow time.

The 2nd sets might be better for all around season. Those are the same ones I installed on a Honda Del Sol long time ago. I don't recall if they were slippery though. The height of the pedals are thicker too.

I got the first set as the salesguy told me the second set is a really old model.

Congrats! Do you mind me asking how much you paid for them and where you bought them from?

Yeah, the 2nd set is really old. If I installed them on a Honda Del Sol, I think that car was like discontinued back in 1995!

Post some pics if you can.

Got them from "Station 28" at Pacific Mall, I paid about $65 after tax.

I haven't installed it yet because I still dunno how, even after reading the instruction manual several times... LOL :chuckle

Thanks a lot for the info!

Just do what most guys do. Just go and do it and don't bother reading the instructions! Lol....
