Hello everyone!

I'd like to get your opinions on these subs/deal. I am not going to compete but I would love some tight and clean and pretty loud bass system. What do you think ? Pros, Cons ?

Also, would it be better to get a single 12" (Type-R?) system for the same price (~500$ total) without installation ?

Thank you.

One more question. I'am not really sure how it works. The amp is rated 700W RMS for 1ohm, subs 350RMS each for 4 ohm. Looks like those two subs won't get enough power out of this amp or am I wrong ?

Did you ever get these subs? I just got some clif designs components and I was just wondering on the quality of their equip.

Nope, I don't think they are good. At least this combo. I went with Kicker and cant be happier :bana

You wire it in a series connection. Each sub will get 350wrms. Well, not really. In reality, they would prolly get 280-300w b/c that amp wont run 14.4v all the time, more like 13.4ish.

I wouldn't buy it. First off, you are going to get raped down with taxes, duty, brokerage, etc when it reaches the border. Second, a Type R in the proper box with a 700w amp would pound much harder.

Also check out a Kicker L5 as well.

Ummmm.... no... If you wire it in series you would be running at 8 ohms and getting crap for power. You wire it in parallel but the best you could do is 2 ohms with 2 4 ohm subs. To get a 1 ohm load you would need 2, 2 ohm woofers.

Oops, yes yes, a parallel connection :loco. This is what you need:

No.... to get a 1 ohm load you need either 2 2ohm loads in parallel or 2 .5ohm loads in series. So you would need 2 2 ohm woofers.

Niceee. Why do u want a new setup then? That sub hits nice. It needs like 700wrms to really work at its fully potential in the right box.

Yes if you have DVC subs but I doubt the Clif Designs ones are.... To make it a little clearer.... If you are running 2 subs and want a 1ohm load.... Then each sub would have to present a 2 ohm load to the amp. So yes... if you have a DVC sub then you would want each coil to be 4 ohms wired in parallel to get a 2 ohm load...

And my bad... the Clif Design ones are DVC.... But I didn't realize we were talking DVC subs....

I don't. This thread is kinda old already :) Its 600RMS so I got a 600RMS amp.
My whole sound systems sounds amazing, however, I've never listened to any other aftermarket one :whoa

Ohhhh. Well the cliff designs one wouldn't be close to ur L5 setup. I originally wanted a single L5 or L7 as well.
