These 2 videos are the same race, 1 filmed from each of the cars. I am way into the 4th gen Supras to begin with but these are probably my favorite street racing videos. Amazing power. Hope you enjoy.

What kind of power do you figure that Supra has to be making?

From Lambo

From Supra

The title was supposed to read "Green Beast Supra".....

I had seen that one when I used to surf for Supra videos quite a bit. Amazing potential in those 4th gen's. I wish...

Sorry, i jsut had to. i really love those cars too. theres a bright green one in guelph all the time with these fast and furious graphics on the side, despite the colour and rice, i cant help but admire those cars. they are really bad ass. too bad toyota wanted all the camry and corolla owners to feel comfortable in their waiting rooms so they had to do away with all their sports cars and thus sports car crowd. lol.

Those Supras are amazing machines, and a lot of them are still holding their value up to this day.

the orange one? that ones a POS. when i worked at toyota we saw him in there a few times....what a peice of junk. those old supras are aweful. they ride like dumptrucks and every time you step on the gas they blow a headgasket. plus, the 7mgte thats in them is nothign compared to the 2jzgte in the newer ones, or even the 1jz that was in the older supras from japan. i got to ride in one that was imported from japan a year ago. i almost bought it. it was such a different car than the ones we got here. pulled like a teenager with a porno mag, sounded amazing and the suspension felt like a sports car, not a dump truck. lol

I feel I have to stick up for the 3rd gen Supra a little here. I owned a mint 92 up until last fall. Yes by today's standards they are kind of under powered and not up to par as far as handling etc. My speed would mop the floor with one in about any competition I could think of. Given stock for stock.

But....you have to take into account the cars it was to compete with back then. The 86.5 - 92 Supra more than held its own. It's fit and finish was still above anything domestic in its class (Mustang GT, Camaro) and it could pull top end with the late 80's Corvette. Handling was mid pack when compared to it's competitors, lagging behind cars such as the Porsche 944 Turbo (which cost significantly more). Not too bad I say.

Yes the 7M-GTE was bad for head gaskets, no denying that one.

fair enough, but that 1jz made the car 100x better. if we got them here witht hat engine i would actually respect the 3rd gen supras.

I wish I had gotten a chance to drive a JDM 3rd gen to see the difference. Maybe one day.

Is that even a real LP640? Looking at pictures of a real LP640, the car is low to the ground and sleek. Watching the video, my first thought of seeing the LP640 was that it looked like it was squished. Here's a link to a picture of a real one,

Looks like a kit car to me.

I think it is. Interior looked high quality and paddle shift. Engine sounded Lambo to me as well as the huge center exhaust. The video does look squished up like it should be wide screen and isn't.
