2007 Aux Input

I just got a 2007 3 and I like that it has a AUX input but I hate where it is.. Has anyone tried moving it? I wana move it to where the ashtray is.. Or even just run a new wire.. How is the stock one wired to the deck? Direct? Or can I unplug it? It looks ugly with the wire going back to the console..

I would just get a 3.5mm extension cable and run it from the stock plug in the armrest to the ashtray or area of your liking.

I'd suggest getting a GROM iPod interface or something of the like.
Steering wheel controls make it worth while.
