Woke up this morning to go out and a few minutes after driving in the car with a temperature (outside) of -13 my car was indicating 16 degrees, and a few minutes later was at 31, not sure what was worse, temperature indicator not working or the fact that it wasnt 31, anyone had this trouble before? is it expensive to fix. The car is just over 2 years old and i doubt that something like this would be under warranty

Why would it not be under warranty? If it's just over 2 years old it may still be covered under the initial comprehensive warranty. Assuming you didn't mod things up that is...

We did see this problem maybe twice with my wife's 08.5. I think both times it was below 0 and the display read +15 or so. It seemed to right itself after a few minutes driving. Never really gave it too much thought after wards.

The sensor is probably broken. Bring it in to the dealership.
