What do you like? JVC or Clarion Head units?

Just would like an opinion

which do you prefer and why?

JVC or Clarion Head units ???

My last and only clarion shorted out inside, seemed to lack power anyways. Never had a JVC, but given these 2 as my only choices, I'd try the JVC first due to past experience.

Clarion b/c they specialize in car audio and their products bump. I love their high end amp, I believe its the DPX1550? I heard its amazing. JVC makes shit TVs and stereos, and I would not trust their car audio.

I would vote for Clarion.....I have a very basic Clarion MP3 player in my CR-V

Agreed, Clarion. I know from experience that their older stuff was great! Not sure about the new products though.

Never had a deck from either company (only Premier), but from using various products in previous vehicles from BOTH companies, I gotta say that Clarion is a far superior choice and better quality. Can't say anything too harsh about "Japanese Vacuum Cleaner" though as I've heard/seen good things from them as well. Personal preference goes to Clarion though.

clarion for me. i love my clarion subs and amp and will buy a deck from them when i decide to make tha swap

To be perfectly honest, I never really thought there would be a comparison as my impression was Clarion was always more superior quality.

I've normally stuck with Alpine, Clarion, and Panasonic.

i have had a jvc and i have had clarion and the clarion sounded way better:)

I voted Clarion.

I used to be an installer back in the early 90's and used Clarion quite a bit then. Always liked them.

The JVC units I tried much later just seemed a little cheaper in construction. To actually hear a difference you would need quite a system, I don't remember if their specs differ that much.

id go for clarion also. ive never had wither but heard and installed both and clarion is better. also have clarion subs and am very pleased with them and how they perform

Clarion for sound quality...

JVC for more features... They even have LCD DVD players and navigation in a single din ... Check out the JVC head units
