Does anyone know of a shop that carries the harness that will disable the DRL's when installing HID's on a OEM Halogen setup? or even what the proper name is for this harness (so I could sucessfully search it).
I've seen the threads about splicing the wires for the stock relays, but I really do not want to cut anything in my stock wiring.

Even with the HID DRL wiring harness, you're going to have to tap into the stock wiring somehow during install if you want to bypass the DRL. Just use the wire taps if you want to avoid having to cut the stock wiring or splicing it. I don't know of any B&M that sells the harness as a whole but you can always make one yourself or you can purchase one from thexenonstore.com, I think they're $25-30 IIRC.

Does the mazda3 have a seperate fuse on the fuse box for the DRL's?

Not that I'm aware of but I'm not too knowledgable on that, might want to ask McGuyver. I doubt it as if that were the case, I think everyone would be just pulling the fuse to disable the DRL. That would be my guess.

Why do you need to disable your DRL in order to install HIDs?
The HIDs you should be installing in your low beam (where the projector light is). The high beam bulb (inner bulb) is the high beam as well as the DRL.
Installing a HID kit will not be affected by the DRLs, unless you only want to disable the DRL for other reason?

Your right. I remembered after the pre 06 is a different setup.
On those models, what you can do is take a wire from inside (directly from the light switcH) to a relay. This will completely bypass the DRL.
HOpe that helps.

All this light stuff for the 04-06 models sucks lolll. Thats okay though, there's a solution =). I do have three question though.
1) Running relays etc. is safe right? Like it won't short anything out, or cause a fire rite lolll. I dun really know too much about the electrical aspects of cars except stereos.
2) And also, modifying my lighting by placing relays etc. for HIDs to work properly in an 06 won't affect my warranty right?
3) My stock bulbs dim when I bump my system. It's a high powered system, and yes, I do have a cap and deep cycle batter, so would this happen with HIDs? Would it cause them to blow or anything, or kill the ballasts?
Please let me know

I can answer 1 and 2
1) If all the connections are done right you should be fine. Just make sure that you use a relay harness from a reputed retailer and lots of people have used it and have good reviews about it. I have the one from the RPM store for my Apexcone HID system and it seems fine.
2) Using a relay will bypass your stock lighting harness. Only a wire tap will be needed to connect to the turn signal and it is safe.
3) Not sure! Someone else can shade some light on this.
