Not if it's really stuck. do you hear whirring or grinding when you hit eject?

where is it stuck? is it stuck just as its comming out? that used to happen in my Ranger so i just used a snall jack knife to get it unstuck then it popped out. If not i'd take it to the stearlership.

Use a baseball bat and smash it open. Now u have an excuse to buy an aftermarket deck with MORE POWER!!! :)

I had a similar problem this morning.
I left a CD in my OEM CD player for a month or 2. I kinda forgot it was in there since I've been listening to the radio a lot lately. We get this great station from Burlington here in Montreal (99.9 the buzz) so I usually just listen to that.
Anyway, today I went to eject the CD and it didn't fully eject. I could see that it came out partially but I couldn't grab the disc with my fingers. I managed to pull it out using a pair of tweezers. The disc came out fairly easily but now I am worried about putting another one in.
Did this happen to anyone else? Any recommendations?
Thanks!

Well with me, i had this happen and realized because when the car sits for a while or you do not use your cd player it gets somewhat siezed up or cold and has a hard time bringing the cd out... I had this problem once. I left a cd in my car overnight.. tried to take it out the next morning and it got stuck halfway so i got tweezers and it came out. Put another one in and kept putting it in and out and it was fine after that.

To the OP.. I have a couple of extra cd players available if you need one, let me know.
Pretty sure they are only compatible with a 2004-2005

Thanks Jaimie, I'm going to put another one in and cross my fingers and hope that it works!!
I'll also remember to NOT leave a CD in there for over a month next time. :bang

Mine does this when it gets really hot, dunno why.
It also flickers over bumps. Blah.

you mean the CD player skips when going over big bumps? It's happened to me once or twice but in all fairness they were some pretty big potholes!

Nope. I mean the display backlight turns off and on.
It's on my list of things to fix when I do some other things.

My CDs struck in the CD changer as well. it doesn't load any music. The CD won't reject, everything in the CD mode just won't work no matter i tried to change the CD, skip songs.....etc WTF?

Smash it up and buy a real deck.

Do you work in dealer? You look like someone working at the dealership, whatever the customers says something is not working well, you will replace it with a new one.

Smash it up and buy a real deck.
Not the best option for everyone. Encourages theft.

Hi - I just had a similar problem with my 2005 Mazda3 OEM CD player.
I didn't use it for years, as I had installed an iPod gizmo from eBay that appears to the console as a multi-CD deck.
I just got 'the Beatles remastered library' for Xmas, and decided that I would work my way thru the CDs by playing one per week while I drive.
The 2nd CD got stuck! It attempted to eject, and I could see it starting to come out, but it never got close enough to grab (perhaps tweezers would help). It also wouldn't re-load either :-(
Now on close examination, I noticed that the upper part of the escutcheon around the CD slot was slightly warped downwards in the centre - just below the SAT button. I tried pushing it up, but no luck. So I slid another CD partway into the slot, holding it low so that it tipped 'up' inside the machine. I hit eject, and the stuck CD slid below it and out!
This meant that the inside lip of the escutcheon was blocking the leading edge of the CD as it tried to eject. I wondered if this was a cold winter problem, perhaps the thermal coefficient changes the shape of the plastic housing... I loaded the CD back in, and the exact same 'CD stuck' occurred.
But then I discovered the problem! If your finger slipped off the SAT button above the slot, and pressed down on this thin escutcheon, it snaps slightly down and gets stuck there - but its barely noticeable .
So I took my Mazda key and shoved into the CD slot about 1cm, angling it upwards inside the machine and then pried the upper escutcheon upwards and outwards. It 'clicked' back into place, so that the 'dip' I noticed at the start of this story was now gone.
And CDs eject just fine now... :-)
