The short story is my wife drop her lip balm under the passenger seat and it managed to go into the opening of the factory Bose subwoofer. The more she tried to get it out the further it went into the tube.
I want to remove the sub and shake it out. The sub is held in place by three bolts that are easily accessible. How do I unhook the wire harness attached to the bottom of the seat. I've unhooked wire harnesses before but I am unfamiliar with this one.
The weekend, time to work and thread is still unanswered.
I don’t have the sub and can’t to say. From manual, there is nothing unusual.
No any notes. Maybe someone else help?
I don’t see this procedure in the online workshop.
If you want to see this by own eyes, there is factory manual for MPS.

A quite big file and hard to navigate, you need Body&Accessories/Entertainment/Woofer Removal (page 09-20-10).

the connector under the seat you have to find the tab side i think it is the right side on the passenger and the left on the driver pinch that together with the edge of the connector and pull back towards you. This is speaking of when you are looking under the seat facing the rear of the car. message me if you have any more questions
heres a cheezy diagram but it should help

Thanks for the drawing. I unhooked the wire harness but there is not enough room to wiggle the sub out. Looks like I have to remove the passenger seat. Project is posponed until warmer weather.

Oh buddy.. yea.. start by removing the seat, its so much easier.. take off the headrest.. total time for removing seat is about 5 minutes, tops.
Remove 4 little screws for the sub cover, then remove screws for the little sub.
Reach hand in, remove whats in the enclosure, and return all back to normal. Total time is around 10-15 minutes.
I did this two days ago because I had change inside the enclosure. Yes, actually spare change, lol.
Here are some pics.. when driving or downshifting between 3k-2500k, it would just BUZZ! Then when taking corners, hitting bumps. It drove me nuts for around 2-3 months now, never could figure out what it was until i removed the seat, and banged on the sub enclosure. Sorry about the crappy phone pics.

Wow I was just about to ask where to locate the subs for the bose system, thanks to this thread I know where it is now. hehe! On a related question, where is the stock amp located at? Sorry to hijack but I figured it's pretty much related to this thread.
